I have gotten bad about this blog. And I think I figured out why, I get more response with a quicker turn around time on Facebook than on here. So, basically it's the "New America" way ... all about me .. quicker ... faster ... longer .. deeper ... oh, sorry, went off on a tangent. lol
I have to remind myself I am not doing this blog for your responses, I am doing it for me, just like the weight loss. And don't get me wrong, just like with the weight loss, any favorable reaction or even honest and nicely put critique is welcome, it's not why I do what I am doing.
So with that said, let's get back to business.
Yesterday was official weigh in day ... loss of 2 more lbs. brings the total up to 49 ... weight of 360. 12 weeks 4 lbs is the average. in another 12 weeks it will be my birthday so if I can do the same thing, I will be looking good.
I would like to start walking again, but don't know when that will be happening. My hip/groin muscle/ pelvic joint pain is still there and loves to make itself known as soon as I forget about it. The stationary bike is cool, but boring. lol another 20 lbs and I will be looking for a cheap but sturdy mountain bike, get out on the road with the riding.
ok.. time for work. Hope the rest of your weekend is good.
I think it's great that you're using the blog to keep tabs on yourself. Excellent progress so far! I have pains too, which I think...no, I KNOW...is related to my weight. I have faith (and you should too) that those pains will decrease with the number on the scale. And with consistent use...I think our bodies tend to freak out when we change things on them, but once they realize that this is the new normal, they adjust and play nice. Mostly. :)
ReplyDeleteOn the subject of blogging, I know that ultimately we blog for ourselves, but I think there's some validation in our efforts when the world can see what we're working so hard to change. If it was purely for yourself, you'd have a journal next to your bed instead of a blog online, you know? Besides, you said it -- you switched over to facebook because response time was faster. So it matters. :)
Thanks for sharing your link with me. :)
I think the blogging is great. For one I truly enjoy reading it. But also 12 weeks, 6 months, 1 year... you'll be able to look back and read your journey in your own words. See where you where and be so proud of yourself for where you are now and where you will be!!
ReplyDeleteI think you're doing a wonderful job! You remind me a lot of Brandon with the drive and will it takes to continue even when It gets hard. Keep it up JR!!
