I am sitting in my new chair as I am typing... and let me tell you, I may never get up. Talk about comfy. great deal too, Staples, normally $149, got it today for $59. Hel Yes!
And other good news ... my hip is not hurting (as bad) ... well it aches, but nothing that would stop me from walking, so IF it feels the same tomorrow, I just might go for a walk again.. yay. oh, damn... I think I might be sick, I just said yay to going for a walk. You health nuts have contaminated me .... grrrrr.
seriously, I decided to switch back to wearing the boots to the kitchen instead of the crocs and my hip has not been "blown out" for the last couple days like it had been for the last couple weeks. Of course that means my heels will be in constant pain again, but I got used to that over the years.
Basically it comes down to decisions ... do I accept the pain the heels or pain in the hip. At least the pain in the heels doesn't keep me from walking.
I was kinda bad today on the calorie count... it happens.. I still stayed under goal, but over my norm. lol
I made home made fajitas at Mom's tonight and had more than I should. OK.. and there was flan. can you blame me.. FLAN!

goals and milestones revised
Talking with Wayne at dinner tonight and I realized I have added goals and milestones for myself but have not updates the info in here... so here goes
399 - done
374 - done
357 - grrrr... still a week away. lol this is the 1/4 mark
331 by April 15th - My birthday and sixth month on new lifestyle
309 - 100 lbs gone
304- 1/2 mark
286 - leave morbid obesity and get into obese
214 - leave obese and get into overweight
200 - goal weight (subject to change once I am there)
So as of right now, I have 11 weeks to lose 26 lbs. even if I drop to only 2 lbs a week, that will be 22 lbs, close ... oh so close. lol
todays weigh in was 258 dead even.. grrr... lol

frustrated
Today was a little frustrating. Knowing I was so close to a major milestone, yet to fall short by 1 lousy lb. grrrr...
I wanted to be at 52 lbs gone today which would be a 1/4 of my total goal gone ... but I was at 51 lbs gone, so even if I hit that extra pound tomorrow, official weigh in won't be til next saturday.
So official weigh in - 358
calorie count for the day ( it's so early since I have to go to work tonight) 1451 ... it looks like I am trying to force that last pound off by eating less ... not true. I thought I ate a lot today until I put everything into MyFitnessPal, apparently I thought wrong. lol

Desk Chair
So, it seems the money I saved by not picking up the bike the other night is going to buying me a new desk chair, as mine is now broken beyond all repair. lol If I even think about leaning to the right, or reaching for anything on my desk, I nearly get toppled out of the chair. A decent one will cast around 50 dollars ... grrrr...
Nothing else new to report. Weigh in for the day was at 358, so there is a possibility that i hit goal tomorrow, we will see.

relaxed today
Sushi for lunch and subway for dinner. Today was a nice peaceful relaxing kind of day.
I did laundry, dishes and finished my jigsaw puzzle.
Calorie count was 2038 ... and I am still full. lol
weigh in this morn was still at 359. I don't know if I am gonna hit goal this week, just a feeling, but even if it's only 1 ob gone, that's one less on me!

Change of plans
So, I had planned on buying a bike tonight. I have been keeping my on a nice mountain bike (Huffy Cross Creek) at Walmart ... $99 26" good looking and perfect for the exercising I want to do. That is until I went and tried it out tonight. lol I put my leg over the bike and my voice immediately went tabernacle choir high. IT got worse when I tried sitting on the seat. I have had less intrusive hernia exams. lol Personally, I am not ready for self castration, so I might be holding off on the bike for a while unless I can find one that doesn't come with latex gloves and tells you to bend over and cough.
On a brighter note, I made an awesome dinner for mom myself and the youngest nephew. French onion soup and BLTs. Mine were actually a BELTs (bacon egg lettuce tomato) I banked some of extra calories from breakfast and lunch to use for dinner, cuz I planned on being bad.
Well turns out, I got full before i could be too bad. lol So much for a cheat day. lol
Calorie count for the day was 1806

I forgot to mention it.. I broke 360 finally... Weigh in was at 359 ... that's 50 lbs gone. Official weigh in won't be til saturday and the hope is for 52 lbs gone ... which would be a 1/4 way to my goal. we will see!

total pain
I thought today would be different ... well, it was, just not in the way I had hoped.
While at work today, I decided I would do a little walking, nothing major, just to get back into, especially since I hadn't felt any pain all day. That lasted until I got home. Both heels, felt like I was having nails driven through them from below, knees were hurting (a first for me) and groin pain was back with a vengeance. So ... no walking.. lol Hel, I couldn't even do the stationary , so I did the next best thing ... I took a nap dammit. lol
It didn't really help, so I feel guilty, but blew off all exercise for the day and went and got chicken wings. yum.
Even so, and adding in the weight watchers chocolate covered raspberry ice cream I am about to have, I kept the calorie count pretty low today.

A week later
I have gotten bad about this blog. And I think I figured out why, I get more response with a quicker turn around time on Facebook than on here. So, basically it's the "New America" way ... all about me .. quicker ... faster ... longer .. deeper ... oh, sorry, went off on a tangent. lol
I have to remind myself I am not doing this blog for your responses, I am doing it for me, just like the weight loss. And don't get me wrong, just like with the weight loss, any favorable reaction or even honest and nicely put critique is welcome, it's not why I do what I am doing.
So with that said, let's get back to business.
Yesterday was official weigh in day ... loss of 2 more lbs. brings the total up to 49 ... weight of 360. 12 weeks 4 lbs is the average. in another 12 weeks it will be my birthday so if I can do the same thing, I will be looking good.
I would like to start walking again, but don't know when that will be happening. My hip/groin muscle/ pelvic joint pain is still there and loves to make itself known as soon as I forget about it. The stationary bike is cool, but boring. lol another 20 lbs and I will be looking for a cheap but sturdy mountain bike, get out on the road with the riding.

big drop
Been a couple days and I need to stop missing liking that...
Mostly it's the break in routine from the other day that is making it hard to get back into a pattern. I'll figure it out.
It's satruday and that means official weigh in day. Today's weigh in is brought to you by Snoop Dogg, cuz it dropped like it was hot.
5 lbs down. 47 lbs total so far, that brings me down to 362 ... 5 lbs before the 1/4 way mark. 162 lbs to go.
and now it's time for to get ready for job 2.

feeling better
So another week goes by and I can happily report that I have lost a little more.
Saturday's official weigh in was at 367 which brings the total loss up to 42lbs.
I am easily keeping calorie count down below 200 on a regular basis now, so when it comes time for that to be my upper limit, I know I can do it without dying. lol
OK.. one more day then I get to have my "weekend" ... hope everyone has a wonderful week.

cough, hack sniffle, sneeze
I've been sick the last couple days and hopefully tomorrow ill see the last of it.
On the upside, calorie count has been low.. lol
It started out as sinuses all stopped up, then moved to my chest this morning, and right now, it's a little of both, but nowhere near as bad as it has been.
1 good thing tho, since I quit smoking almost a year ago, this is nothing compared to what I would have to deal with.
So, for tuesday I was at 1775 for the day
and for today ... 1419 for the day.
we will see what tomorrow brings. hopefully I'will be better and able to go places without feeling like i was dying. lol
